Postural Tests (Static)- During the postural examination the iStep software calculates pressure distribution and averages for each foot, and isolates the areas of maximum pressure. The test runs for 30 seconds and color-coded pressure points are displayed for the plantar aspect of the foot. The images can be viewed in either two or three dimensions.

Dynamic (Walking)- During the dynamic examination, foot pressures are analyzed throughout every stage of the gait cycle. The software calculates pressure distribution and averages for each foot, while identifying the center of gravity and the areas of maximum pressure. The dynamic system enables a practitioner to maintain a database of important information. Comparisons between current and previous tests can be displayed on screen simultaneously. The images can be viewed in either two or three dimensions.
